With the announcement of Chris Sun as a special guest judge of our “Best Halloween House in Australia” competition, we thought we’d get to the bottom of why he is perfect for this HALLOWEEN related role!
Destined for a Life of Horror
Named after Christopher Lee, who famously portrayed the blood sucking Prince of Darkness “Dracula”, horror was destined to be in Chris’s blood from a young age.
Chris was encouraged to pursue his career as a film-maker, going on to become an award-winning Horror writer and director. His action-packed horror-fuelled films as well as his controversial novel “ED”, have attracted fans from all corners of the globe. His gritty storytelling ability and his shocking special effects have sent shockwaves through the industry.

Raising Hell as a Director
Amongst many notable achievements, Chris released BOAR in 2017 (distributed by Universal Pictures) which went on to become the 5th Highest selling Horror movie to be released in Australia. When released in America, BOAR ended up on the sides of New York's iconic yellow cabs, buses and the famous billboards of Times Square.
Where most horror filmmakers struggle with practical special effects, Chris excels, adding more production value to his projects by drawing on his extensive Special FX artist skill set. No wonder Chris is fast becoming “the master of horror” in Australia.

Obsessed and “Possessed” with Halloween
Fast forward to 2021, the world is ready for the 5th Chris Sun Film “The Possessed.” This is an intriguing and horrific story based on actual events of an Australian man known as “The Accidental Exorcist."
Needless to say, Halloween is Chris Sun’s favourite time of the year, with a dungeon full of dead bodies, skulls and horror movie props, October is the best time of year to dig these out and showcase them to the world.
