
4 Halloween Dessert Ideas So Easy It’s Scary
So, you want to have a spooky themed Halloween party with some awesome desserts to match but like me, you aren’t very talented in the kitchen. Fear not! I’m about to share with you some of my favourite Halloween dessert ideas so easy even you’ll be scared to say no.
1. Strawberry Ghosts
These strawberry ghosts have to be the cutest dessert you’ve ever seen and are great for little kids and big kids alike. Recipe from Delish
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups strawberries
- 1.5 Cups white chocolate (melted)
- 1tsp Coconut oil
- ¼ Cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 Cup chocolate chips (melted)
Method:
1. Line a small baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine melted white chocolate and coconut oil and stir until combined. Dip strawberries into white chocolate and place two mini chocolate chips on the top half of the strawberries for eyes. Then place strawberries on a prepared baking sheet and place in the fridge to harden for about 10 minutes.
3. Place melted chocolate chips in a Ziploc bag and cut a little hole in the corner to create a piping bag. Pipe mouths on the strawberries.
4. Let cool again in the fridge for about 5 minutes, then serve.

2. Dracula Dentures
These Dracula dentures cookies will be sure to have your guests smiling, and you’ll be smiling too with how easy they are. Recipe from Delish
Ingredients:
- 1 Tube chocolate chip cookie dough (or store bought cookies)
- 1 Can vanilla frosting
- Red food colouring
- Mini marshmallows
- Slivered almonds
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Line two large baking trays with parchment paper and roll cookie dough into balls and place on trays. Bake until golden, about 12 minutes. Let cool completely then cut in half.
2. Add a few drops of red food colouring into the vanilla frosting and stir until smooth. Spread a thin layer of red frosting onto each cookie half.
3. Place mini marshmallows around the edges of one cookie half. Place the remaining halves on top, then stick a slivered almond on each side to create fangs.

3. Jelly Worm Cups
Embrace all things creepy and crawly this Halloween with these jelly worms cups, plucked straight from the garden of a haunted house. Recipe from Simply Made Recipes
Ingredients:
- 85g Lime jelly crystals
- 1 Cup boiling water
- 2 Cups ice
- 10 Oreo cookies
- 100g Sour worms (mini if possible)
- Candy eyes
Method:
1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
2. Remove from heat and add in jelly crystals packet. Whisk for 3 minutes or until crystals are completely dissolved.
3. Add 2 cups of ice and whisk for 5 minutes. If there are some pieces of ice leftover, just remove them after 5 minutes if not melted completely. The mixture should be setting up at this point.
4. Pour the mixture into clear glasses or plastic cups.
5. Place the gummy worms into each cup and a few candy eyeballs down where you would like them so they are floating in the middle of the jelly.
6. Let chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
7. Crush up Oreo cookies and sprinkle over the top of each cup with a few more gummy worms and candy eyes.

4. Halloween Spider Pops
These little creepy critters are guaranteed to be a hit at your Halloween party. Recipe from Taste
Ingredients:
- 500g Ready made red velvet cake with icing
- 2 tbsp Desiccated coconut
- 2 tbsp Chocolate sprinkles
- 200g Packet pretzels
- ⅓ Cup dark chocolate melts
- 44 Candy eyeballs
Method:
1. Break cake, including icing, into fine crumbs. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Place coconut in a shallow dish and chocolate sprinkles in a separate shallow dish.
2. Taking 1 level tablespoon of the cake crumb mixture at a time and using damp hands, press and roll into balls. Roll half the balls in coconut and half in chocolate sprinkles to coat. 4 Place on prepared tray.
3. Cut the rounded edges from each pretzel and discard (or eat) the centre pieces.
4. Place the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute, stirring with a spoon halfway through. Dip 1 end of 1 pretzel piece into chocolate. Using the picture as a guide, press into the side of 1 ball to create a leg. Repeat with melted chocolate and 7 pretzels to form 8 legs. Repeat this step with remaining balls and pretzels. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has set.
5. Using some melted chocolate, attach 2 candy eyeballs to the front of each spider ball and hold until secure.
6. Dip 1cm of 1 end of each lollipop stick into the remaining melted chocolate and push it into the top of each spider. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until set. Serve.
