Come Alive with Frankenstein Costumes, Accessories & Party Supplies

Since its release in 1818, Mary Shelley’s gothic novel, Frankenstein, has become a classic piece of literature that many readers still enjoy today. Frankenstein tells the tale of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a scientist who brings a creature to life—only to have his creation turn against him in a quest for revenge. Frankenstein's fascinating story and acclaim has seen many cinematic portrayals, most notably Frankenstein (1931), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), Young Frankenstein (1974), and more recently, the highly anticipated releases of Frankenstein (2025) starring Jacob Elordi in the titular role, and The Bride! (2025). The sheer impact of Frankenstein has made this terrifying monster a true icon of horror and Halloween. And if you’re looking to channel the Frankenstein monster for your next Halloween party or costumed event, CostumeBox has stitched together a fantastic range of Frankenstein costumes, accessories and party supplies. Bride of Frankenstein

The signature Bride of Frankenstein outfit originated from the 1935 film, Bride of Frankenstein, starring Elsa Lanchester as Frankenstein’s bride. And if you want to give the outfit some extra electrifying flair, a Bride of Frankenstein costume makeup look is a must. How to Paint a Frankenstein Face

So you’ve got the costume and the accessories, why not showcase your creative skills with a little Frankenstein makeup and face paint? Creating a Frankenstein makeup look is super simple and requires only a few steps. See the instructions below:

What you’ll need:

  • Green face paint.
  • Black face paint.
  • Black crayon paint stick.
  • A sponge or makeup applicator.
  • Fine paintbrush or makeup brush.

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Use a sponge to apply green face paint all over the face as your base. This gives you that classic Frankenstein skin tone. Make sure it’s even and let it dry for a minute.
  • Step 2: Using black face paint or a crayon paint stick, draw thick, bold eyebrows with a slightly angry or furrowed expression.
  • Step 3: With the same black crayon paint stick, or using a fine brush with black paint, draw a few stitches or scars across the forehead, cheeks, or chin. Criss-cross lines with little vertical dashes make it look like they’ve been sewn up.
  • Step 4: Use a sponge with black face paint to darken around the eyes, smudging and blending for a spookier look.
  • Step 5: Use black lipstick or black face paint to outline the lips.

Tip: Don’t worry about being too neat—Frankenstein is stitched together, after all. Imperfection adds character.

Our face paint and makeup range has everything you need to perfect a Frankenstein makeup look. Shop now.
