The strobe light has a

"The strobe light has a low quality thin plastic construction similar to that found in cheapo plastic storage containers that turn brittle when exposed to any kind of UV light. Strobe adjustment is primitive at best, consisting of a single knob on the side to adjust the frequency of the strobe and no music response effect or other more advanced features. There is no evidence of weatherproofing meaning this strobe is strictly for indoor use in dry environments. For that reason I would even avoid using this strobe around something like a fog machine as it seems evident that fog could condensate inside the plastic housing and damage the unit. Kmart used to sell similar basic strobes with superior metal construction for $10 (half what costumebox is asking) and indeed eBay sells super strobes for half or less what CostumeBox want for this cheap junk. Definitely do not recommend this item."
