How do you throw a 70s theme party? We certainly have the answer!
Having recently launched a whole new range of 70s costumes and accessories, we are the party experts you can trust to bring the FUN to your next themed get-together. Here are our top 7 ideas for how to throw a 70s theme party:
1. Set the Scene
What's a party without decorations? Luckily the 70s consisted of some classic decor items that not only scream "70s!" but also look super funky and ecclectic together in a room. Here are some must-haves:
• Large disco ball OR scatter multiple smaller disco balls
• Shag carpeting or rugs
• Lava lamps or retro lights
• Bold prints, either on cushions or throws
• Print out iconic 70s posters
• Macrame and plants for a hippie vibe
• Hang some records on the wall or from the ceiling

2. Food and Drink

4. Nostalgic Games
Keeping guests entertained is the key to a GREAT party. Either nostalgic games from the 70s or themed games to suit the decade. Here are some favs:

• Best dressed fashion show
• Disco dance-off
• 70s karaoke

5. Iconic Fashion
Encourage guests to dress up in 70s-inspired clothing, such as bell-bottom pants, tie-dye shirts, maxi dresses, and platform shoes. Have a costume contest to see who has the best 70s style.
6. Fun Photography
Set up a photo booth with 70s props, such as oversized sunglasses, peace signs, and funky hats. You can make your own backdrop out of a shaggy rug or print out posters, then simply use your phone to take pics. If you want to go all out, you can hire a photo booth!
